Presentation Description:   Hire the right candidate! There is a hefty cost for employee turnover. This workshop takes a look at the best techniques to utilize for weeding out unsuitable applicants. In addition to knowing what questions to ask, this presentation also examines what not to ask, and what questions might be considered discriminatory. Participants learn how to conduct interviews effectively and reduce their risks of hiring the wrong candidate.

Relevance:  One of the biggest components of workforce planning is hiring the right people. Often businesses will pass this on to department managers who are familiar with the work, but not the practice. As a manager, HR Professional, and business owner it is vital to understand that turnover costs for a manager averages at 150% of salary, not to mention its effects on productivity, and morale. The interview is the first step to establishing a strong cohesive workforce.

This presentation explores methods to resolve conflict and seek positive outcomes from negative situations.

Relevance:  Conflict often triggers irrational acts of aggression. It is vital as an employee, manager, human resource professional, business owner, etc to understand how to effectively manage and resolve conflict.
