Communication Setbacks – “Did I say that?” Presentation Description: Communication is a process relying on the giving and receiving of information. Often this process is interrupted by miscommunication. It is rarely recognized that our cultural backgrounds, gender, and even birth order affects our communication style, and the signals we both send and receive. Presentation utilizes methods outlined by nationally recognized linguists, as well as visual and hands-on activities to identify your communication style in both the absence and presence of conflict. Relevance to Seminar Attendees: Effective communication is vital in every situation: -as an employee - to professionally cooperate with co-workers, managers, and customers -as a manager - to maintain a productive work environment and superior customer service -as a human resource professional – to clarify issues in managing internal conflict situations -as a business owner – to communicate productively with employees, customers, and the community -as a member of society - to maintain and to continue to build strong personal and professional relationships

Presentation Description: Diversity issues are often like the elephant in the room. It's the issue that we often talk around, but avoid addressing directly. This presentation takes a direct look at cultural differences, gender, and backgrounds and individual outlooks that sway our daily interactions.

Presentation Description: The objective of this presentation is to assist participants in recognizing their internal diversified culture, and identify whether it’s policy, practice, or both. It introduces activities that demonstrate team, and organizational productivity being stifled by the presence of inopportunity, and poor communication.
